Ways to give

Making your offering go further:

Donating through Gift Aid means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It will not cost you any extra.

Please complete a gift aid declaration if you are eligible; each of the methods of giving listed below include this option.

Making a single donation:

If you would like to make a one-off donation to Shirley Parish* please click here.

You will be given the option to choose the amount you wish to give, and (if you pay tax) to Gift Aid your donation. You can also choose to receive a receipt for your gift.

*Shirley Parish comprises the churches of St James the Great, Shirley; Christ the King, Shirley;

and St John the Divine, Tidbury Green.

Making a regular offering via the Parish Giving Scheme:

Making a regular offering helps us to plan our finances and make the most of the resources available.

Using the Parish Giving Scheme enables you to set up a direct debit on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis; with an option for you to choose to increase your gift annually in line with inflation if you wish. You can amend the amount you give at any time.

It allows us to receive Gift Aid quickly and efficiently, and reduces the time spent handling cash, so the office team can focus on other priorities.

To set up your giving over the phone, please call 0333 002 1271, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. You will need your bank account details and the name and code of your church:

If you would like to remember us in your will, this would be greatly appreciated. For this purpose, our legal name is “The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Shirley”.

The registered name of the charity is "The Parochial Church Council of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Shirley."
